Financial Ratio Analysis using Microsoft Excel

MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 48000 Hz
Language: English | Size: 569 MB | Duration: 1h 49m

In this class, you will learn how to extract useful meaning and insights from a company's financial statements. After all, financial reporting is just a bunch of numbers if you can't find those valuable insights to make the best decisions for your organization.

Building on a basic knowledge of the four main financial statements - the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and statement of owners' equity - this class will show you how to pull specific data from those documents to derive informative ratios.

For instance, by dividing the "Cost of Goods Sold" found on an income statement by the "Average Inventory" found on a balance sheet, you can derive the "Inventory Turnover Ratio". This ratio tells you how many times per year your total inventory is sold to your customer in the form of products. A high ratio indicates an efficient use of your inventory. A low ratio indicates potential problems like obsolescence, slow moving inventory, over-buying, etc.

Calculating these financial ratios and using them to compare one company to another, or one year to the previous year, is a remarkably effective way to diagnosis the strengths and weaknesses of a company.

Lastly, you don't have to be a financial wizard to take this class or to use financial ratios in a useful way at your organization. The material in this class is accessible to someone with a basic understanding of accounting, yet what you learn will benefit you regardless of your title. Business owners, department managers, project engineers, administrators, personal investors, educators and a host of of career professionals will gain in this class skills that will help advance their careers.

Sign up today to take your business finance skills to the next level!!

Hands on Debugging in C and C++

1658cb5c50c2213c9e0a2834d495d616.jpeg

MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch
Genre: eLearning | Language: English + srt | Duration: 43 lectures (2h 13m) | Size: 1.16 GB

GDB, Valgrind, and the skills you need to program error free!

What you'll learn:
How to debug using a debugger like GDB
How to detect memory leaks using valgrind
How to log errors and get input from a running program.

Requirements
Previous experience programming in a language such as C or C++

Description
Overview

In this course you will learn how to use the popular debugger GDB to find errors in your C and C++ code. Learning how to use a debugger will allow you to save time when finding errors and spend more time building better software. Being able to debug code is a necessary skill for all software developers to have, and you need nothing more than a terminal window to do so. The lessons learned from this course however will go behind the GDB debugger, and even show you a few other great tools like valgrind for finding bugs in your code.

Topics you'll learn

Students should take this course if they want to learn:

How to use the popular GDB debugger

General debugging techniques, and why certain bugs occur

Some more advanced topics like reverse-debugging writing scripts for debugging not covered in other basic courses.

Why you should take this course?

Learning how to use a debugger will at first challenge conventional 'printf' debugging strategies that you may be able to get away with. But as you build larger software and work on software with larger teams, it will become essential to learn how to find and fix bugs. With this course and some practice, you will be able to work more quickly and save time fixing bugs, and then can spend your other efforts building great software. I can recall several instances when I first started working as a software engineer, and it took me weeks to find and fix a single bug. Had I better debugging skills at the time, I could have saved myself (and the company) a lot more time (and myself pain!). So unlock your full debugging potential by taking this course!

Who am I?

I have been teaching for over 10 years in universities and as a professor. I have worked in industry in big companies, startups, and as a consultant. I am looking forward to being your instructor for this course, and I hope you will get great value out of the lessons learned!

Who this course is for
Beginning C and C++ Programmers
Intermediate Programmers

Description
Dear student,

you recently finished your electrical engineering education and you are now trying to figure out what the real world of electrical engineering looks like.

After filming over 20 electrical engineering courses, I've realized that I also was a beginner once and that I also was trying to understand the world after I finished my electrical engineering studies.

Our field of occupation mainly evolves around electrical cabinets. This is where the majority of our equipment find place and this is where you will conduct most of your work. Regardless whether you work in the maintenance or as a PLC programmer, or a designer or an electrician. Yes, we do have some cables going out that connect field devices to our equipment in the cabinet. We will still mostly need to work in and for our electrical cabinets.

The result of my wish to pass on my knowledge of electrical cabinets is this course.

This course will introduce the main features of industrial electrical cabinets to you starting from the basics (such as materials, IP rating and the color of cabinets used) and then going forward by presenting all the major accessories most industrial electrical cabinets (should) have.

I recommend this course to everyone that is interested in working in the electrical engineering field, since it is essentials to know the basics of electrical cabinets so that you recognize and remember what are the features your electrical panel should have.

Watch the introduction videos and free preview videos, learn the description of this course and the things you will learn and then, if you like what you see, enroll and in the course and let's start your learning experience.

As always with my courses, real-life oriented and with many examples from real-world projects and applications.

Wish you all the best and see you in the course!

Ivan Vidovic

One of the most well-known GraphQL features is that it lets you do things like replacing multiple REST calls with a single query. You might have done some query experimentation with demo APIs or working on a Gatsby site.

But there's more to GraphQL than just making queries.

For example, with mutations and subscriptions, GraphQL can smooth out the process of implementing real-time features in your web applications.

In this new course, you'll get practice with these features as egghead's own Ian Jones guides you through building a real-time chat app that's backed by GitHub Issues.

The tools used for the course are OneGraph and Formidable Labs' urql client.

OneGraph is great because it allows you to expose a single GraphQL endpoint that can access data from multiple services including GitHub, Stripe, Airtable, and more. It handles things like authentication for us as well, as you'll see in the course.

At Formidable Labs, the team released urql as a lighter weight alternative to Apollo or Relay that supports the most common interactions with a GraphQL server through their handy React Hooks.

The course starts with a fresh Create-React-App and touches upon topics like using GraphQL query variables, working with Hooks, handling authentication with React Context, and setting up & consuming the GraphQL subscription.

Along the way, Ian also works through debugging some common errors that you may encounter when developing your own GraphQL apps in the future!

What you'll learn
GraphQL endpoint configuration in OneGraph
Using urql for GraphQL queries, mutations, and subscriptions
Debugging network requests
Managing authentication with React Context

Prerequisites
Graphql Query Language
Introduction to urql
React Context For State Management

Managing state in a UI is challenging. It's genuinely difficult and the solutions require a depth of knowledge and experience to understand. Everything is a balance of tradeoffs in complexity, performance, and user experience.

This is a series of interviews with experts, open-source maintainers, and UI developers that have combined decades of experience building stateful UI applications for millions of users.

Part interview, part screen share, these videos should benefit you if you're building web applications.

They focus on React, but the underlying principles are valid for UI work in general (and beyond).

Questions to Reflect Upon:
How do you know when you need to use a state management library?
Why is state management challenging?
Why does state need to be managed?

Working with WebSockets in Go (Golang)

d4ba214109280f6c3e1547ef64fef081.jpeg

MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch
Genre: eLearning | Language: English + .srt | Duration: 85 lectures (14h 8m) | Size: 6.6 GB

How to make highly interactive and responsive applications using WebSockets and Go

What you'll learn:
How to work with Websockets in Go (Golang)
How to build a real-time, responsive application using websockets
How to connect to third party services like Pusher, and how to use our own self-hosted Pusher-compatible service
How to build a real-time server monitoring web application
How to schedule periodic events in Go
How to write tests for websocket handlers
The basics of building a secure web application in Go
How to send SMS messages with Go using Twilio

Requirements
A basic knowledge of the Go programming language
A basic knowlege of Javascript
An internet connected computer (Windows, Mac, or Linux)

Description
WebSockets are a technology that allows developers to build highly interactive, extremely fast web applications. Since WebSockets are supported by all modern browsers, and have been for years now, there is no reason why they cannot be implemented on any modern web application. This course will show you how to work with WebSockets with Go.

We will work with two kinds of WebSocket technologies: first, with simple calls directly from our web application to all connected browsers, where all functionality is handled by our application. The web application we'll build is a simple chat application, which will allow users to chat back and forth, and will show the list of connected users, updated in real time.

Next, we'll take advantage of a Pusher compatible server (or Pusher itself, if you prefer) and use that server as a message broker between our web application and all connected clients.

I am a firm believer that learning how to use a particular technology works best when applying it to a real-world situation. All too often, tutorials and courses over simplify what they are trying to teach, and create an artificial environment where things are so simple that what is being taught looks easy enough, but you immediately run into problems when trying to implement it on a more complex project. So, to implement and learn about WebSockets and Pusher, we'll build a web application which monitors remote servers and hosts, and notifies us in real-time when a service goes down or comes back up again. We will send notifications in real time using WebSockets (which will update the appropriate content on the pages being viewed by all connected clients), by email, and, as a bonus, we'll also learn how to send notifications using text messages (SMS) with Twilio.

Who this course is for
Developers who want to make their web applications faster and more responsive.
Developers who are familiar with Go, and want to learn how to build highly responsive web applications

Description
This course is about information display facility and connection it to microcontrollers. This course is designed for beginners electronic engineers and electronics hobbyists.

Any electronic device can be simple and complex, but they all need a means of displaying information.

Electronic devices use various information display facilities. These are the simplest LED indicators - with one color or multi colors, 7 segment displays with 1 digit or multi digits, matrix display, all kinds of liquid crystal displays (LCD) - it are character LCD displays and graphic LCD displays, TFT displays and so on.

By the studying the displays, you will get the knowledge about ASCII code. And by the end of this course you will be able to display valuables, numbers and letters.

Various interfaces for connection displays, including SPI and I2C. Libraries for connection.

We will be exploring various display wiring diagrams. We can connect display to the microcontroller directly, or using the driver. Using the driver will save the microprocessor pins.

In this course you will learn how to write C programs to control indicators and displays.

The display control codes will be arranged in libraries, so it will be convenient to use them.

During the course, all projects will be completed on a breadboard and checked in. We will use ATMEL AVR microcontrollers and AVR STUDIO. I think you are familiar with the basics of electronics and C language programming.

Who this course is for
