Hi, embedded systems and IoT devices are all around us. You'll find them in your microwave, your TV and even in your car. Have you ever wandered how these devices communicate? If you do, then this course is for you.

Throughout this course we will examine how to communicate between two Arduinos and between Raspberry Pi and Arduino by using three famous protocols: UART, I2C and SPI. A lot of technical difficulties can arise and this can be cumbersome process because alongside software which we will write in C++, you need to configure you hardware the proper way. But, don't worry, we will systematically examine every detail for each protocol and send numerous data types between devices from bytes to objects. Therefore, you'll be more than ready to apply the acquired knowledge on you own IoT and Embedded systems projects.

Blender provides an excellent low-cost way to learn the fundamentals of 3D modelling, texturing, and rendering. Since 1995, it has been growing in features and usage in the animation and visual effects industry.

In this course, we will use Blender and Unity in an integrated way to create a run-down apartment game environment. We will establish a pipeline process between Blender and Unity and go over different ways of organizing your game projects. You will learn about game modelling, UV mapping, texturing, and lighting as we build the environment. This course also discusses the use of Adobe Photoshop and Substance Painter when texturing game assets.

In this course we'll go through the process of creating an animated scene in Blender from scratch. From the first polygon to the final render. You'll learn all the steps involved in bringing your own 3D animations to life. We'll start with the Blender user interface and navigation tools, providing you with a solid foundation before moving forward. We will then begin modeling the mech character and the environment. You'll learn how to UV map your 3D objects in Blender and texture them. We'll use GIMP to prepare the textures, and the node editor to apply them to Cycles materials in Blender. You'll learn how to rig and animate the mech in Blender 3D, as well as animate the camera in the scene. We'll create volumetric lighting and even create a jet flame effect for the mech's jet pack. Finally, you'll learn how to render out your animation and use the Blender video sequence editor to create a Quicktime movie. Darrin Lile is a Blender Foundation Certified Trainer.
