TH-U is able to load rig models created from real setups. The Overloud proprietary technology allows our engineers to capture the response of an entire rig, including the nonlinear and dynamic response of the amplifier, the cabinet, the microphones, the mic preamplifier and the room sound. 3D CABINET SIMULATION
TH-U offers a matrix of 4 microphones which can be placed anywhere in the 3D space in front and even behind the cabinet. Just drag a microphone and place it where you want.
Change the relative distance between microphones to obtain creative phasing effects, just like you would do in a real cabinet room.
6 different room types can be selected.
The ReSPiRe 2 technology allows you to choose between the real response of the cabinet and a processed version optimized to fit into a mix and avoid frequency overlap with the other instruments.

SideFX has released a new sneak peek for Houdini FX 17.5.425, the next update to its 3D animation and FX software withen delivers a powerful and accessible 3D experience with its procedural node-based workflow, while providing tools for simulating fluids, destruction fx, pyro fx, grains, cloth and crowds.


Houdini Main Changelogs - version 17.5.425.

- Fixed a potential crash in the expr/globalvar.C sample for adding new global variables.
Unity plugin:
- Fixed input terrain reference being lost when terrain gameobject is is disabled and is a child in a hierarchy.
- Change the PDGAssetLink system to not keep logging error when session is invalid.
- Now supporting primitive Unity collider meshes such as box, sphere, and capsule, using new group attributes (collision_geo_simple_box, collision_geo_simple_sphere, collision_geo_simple_capsule), as well as render/visible meshes by prefixing 'rendered_'.
- Added support for multiple colliders to be generated for same output gameobject, if multiple collider groups are specified.
- Now keeping track of generated collider components so they can be removed on recook properly.

The Houdini FX 17.5 release introduces the Procedural Dependency Graph (PDG), described by SideFX as a potentially industry-changing new technology.

PDG, also due to become available in a new standalone application, PilotPDG, enables users to specify the dependencies between different parts of a project's task graph, making it possible to do anything from running simulations and renders in parallel to 'assetizing' entire sections of a studio's pipeline.

SideFX also expects PDG to form the basis of new machine learning workflows within Houdini.

Other new features in Houdini 17.5 include distributed fluid simulation, a high-quality new GPU-accelerated viewport smoke shader, and updates to the Vellum multiphysics solver.

Graphics Cards
